pretty bad journalism. They link sex slavery and traffickin to a business with no proof , no evidence and nothing but innuendo.

I know this newspaper chain is the backend of poor journalism but this is propoganda of the worst sort

Read reviews on yahoo and yelp dating back to 2008 to present. Men only describing sexal acts at the spa.

The mayor has to be kidding. I've been going to Sunshine once a week for five years and I've never seen prostitution nor have I been solicited. I get a sauna, a shower and a rub down for sixty bucks. Half the stores in Jenkintown are empty but he wants to close another, good thinking. BTW, I'd bet the cops have more problems with drunks and DUI's from the Drake Tavern then they have with the spa.

Maybe the interfering with business that are legally paying their taxes, is why so many stores are empty.
If an establishment has survived in these hard times, providing jobs to minorities, it must be doing something right. Get government off of the businessman's back!

Sunshine Spa has been in Jenkintown for 27 years. The comment about Asians is profiling, does Mayor Foley not want Asians in Jenkintown? The Asians that have been arrested have all been American citizens. Also how does Mayor Foley know so much about prostitution in Jenkintown? Obviously if it's still open they haven't been convicted of anything. What else is the Mayor against? How does Mayor Foley feel about the Gay community? It seems when you can't do anything about the big problem which is empty stores and a dying town, you create a diversion so you feel like you've accomplished something. I would like to see what the empty businesses in Jenkintown have cost the borough in tax revenue in the past 5 years. Maybe a petition of 1,000 people to come up with suggestions to improve the borough might be a more worthwhile endeavor. Nobody, even the Mayor, suspects Jenkintown is the center for international trafficking in women. It might be the center of racial prejudice.

Jenkintown has 33 empty stores! Shouldn't the Mayor be more concerned with that rather than closing another store? Maybe we should start a petition to get a new Mayor to get more stores in Jenkintown, rather than shut down more!
